To provide targeted, temporary relief from inflationary pressures on Georgia households, the State of Georgia shall suspend for six months the collection of the state motor fuel excise tax, waive state regulatory fees on residential electric, natural gas, and water utility bills, and exempt essential household goods including diapers, infant formula, over-the-counter medicines, feminine hygiene products, and basic cleaning supplies from state sales and use tax; the Department of Revenue and relevant state agencies shall implement these changes within 30 days of enactment, with the relief automatically expiring at the end of the six-month period unless renewed by law.
