Full text

To reduce housing-driven inflation in fast-growing suburban areas, this bill requires qualifying municipalities and counties to establish a streamlined, consolidated review process for family housing developments that meet existing zoning and safety standards, including firm timelines for permit decisions, a single point of contact for applicants, and coordinated review with water, sewer, road, and utility providers. The bill also directs relevant state agencies to provide model permitting standards and technical assistance to local governments, while preserving local land-use authority and all applicable building, environmental, and public safety requirements.
