Equal Treatment Under Law Enforcement Act

A bill to strengthen practical federal civil rights protections by increasing Department of Justice Civil Rights Division enforcement capacity, authorizing additional grants to state and local fair housing and employment discrimination agencies, clarifying that discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or lawful sexual orientation or gender identity is prohibited in federally regulated employment, housing, and public accommodations, and requiring faster complaint processing, public compliance guidance, and annual reporting to Congress on enforcement outcomes, while preserving due process protections for respondents and existing religious liberty safeguards under federal law.
