Releasing Songs

Create a track, choose a genre, set marketing, and publish to start earning.

Steps

  1. Go to /music and open “Release Song.”
  2. Enter title and pick a genre.
  3. Select studio/production level (impacts quality); add marketing spend if desired.
  4. Upload file/lyrics if required by the UI (when enabled).
  5. Publish (costs ~10 Energy; cash cost depends on marketing/studio choices).

Quality drivers

  • Skills: Creativity, Communication, Performance, Technical Proficiency.
  • Studio tier: higher tiers improve base quality at a cash cost.
  • Marketing: can improve traction; exact effect varies by implementation.
  • Genre fit: pick a genre you plan to support with gigs.

After release

  • Buzz starts low; perform gigs (20 Energy) to raise it.
  • Daily revenue: paid from genre pools based on quality × buzz share.
  • Monitor songs on the music page; keep an eye on buzz decay.
