Youth Community Mental Health and Preventive Care Access Act

A bill to expand access to community-based youth mental health and preventive healthcare by authorizing competitive grants through the Department of Health and Human Services for states, school-based health centers, community clinics, pediatric providers, and nonprofit partners to increase early screening, counseling, telehealth capacity, care coordination, crisis prevention, family navigation services, and referrals for children and adolescents in underserved areas; to prioritize evidence-based, locally driven partnerships that reduce wait times and improve access regardless of income or zip code; and to require annual reporting on outcomes, workforce needs, and program effectiveness while preserving parental rights, student privacy, and local implementation flexibility.
