This bill would prohibit discrimination in federally funded elementary, secondary, and postsecondary schools on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or religion, consistent with existing federal civil-rights law. It would require covered schools to provide students with equal access to educational programs, reasonable disability accommodations, and school-based mental-health services, while directing the Department of Education to issue clear guidance, provide technical assistance, and enforce compliance through existing authorities.
