Affordable Prescriptions and Rural Health Access Act

A bill to reduce healthcare costs and strengthen care access by capping annual out-of-pocket prescription drug expenses for individuals and families enrolled in private insurance, Medicare, and other federally regulated health plans; increasing federal grant funding for rural health clinics, community health centers, and critical access hospitals to expand primary and preventive care capacity; and providing targeted support for rural mental health services, including workforce recruitment, tele-mental health infrastructure, and crisis care coordination, subject to implementation by the Department of Health and Human Services through clear eligibility, oversight, and annual reporting requirements.
