Affordable Prescriptions and Rural Health Access Act
Summary
This bill would cap yearly prescription drug out-of-pocket costs for people in private insurance, Medicare, and other federally regulated plans, while sending more federal money to rural clinics, community health centers, and critical access hospitals. It also expands rural mental health support through recruitment, tele-mental health infrastructure, crisis care coordination, and HHS oversight and reporting.
