Go to /business/stock-market for the market list and /business/stock-market/portfolio for your holdings.

Requirements & costs

• Energy: 5 per buy or sell.
• Cash: share price × shares (no fees).
• Public companies only (NPC-led; player IPOs TBD).

How to buy

1. On /business/stock-market, pick a company and open Trade.
2. Enter shares; total cost and energy show in the modal.
3. Confirm to spend cash + 5 Energy and add shares to your portfolio.

How to sell

1. Open your portfolio and choose a holding.
2. Enter shares to sell; preview proceeds and energy.
3. Confirm to gain cash, remove shares, and pay 5 Energy.

How prices move

• Company performance: recent profits vs. history (up to ~±5% per tick).
• Industry sentiment: economic indicators by sector based on in-game narratives (up to ~±3%).
• Volatility: random walk (up to ~±2%).
• Price updates run every 15 minutes; prices floor at $1.

Reading your portfolio

• Weighted average cost updates after each buy.
• P&L shows live vs. current price; history logs recent trades.
• Max buy = floor(cash / price); max sell = shares owned.
