Biography
Clifford Van Horn was born on November 11, 1973 in Louisa, Kentucky. He played football at Lawrence County High School and later as a defensive back at the University of Kentucky. After graduating from Kentucky, Van Horn was an assistant coach at South Florida, Wyoming, Houston and Miami before serving as the defensive coordinator at Arizona and later Florida State. From 2013 until his retirement followed the 2025 season, Van Horn was the head football coach at the University of Kentucky. He is the all-time winningest head coach in the history of the Kentucky football program, surpassing former coach Paul "Bear" Bryant.
