This bill requires state and local law enforcement agencies and relevant state agencies in South Carolina to comply with lawful federal immigration detainers and information-sharing requests to the fullest extent permitted by federal and state law, prohibits any county, municipality, or other local jurisdiction from adopting or enforcing a sanctuary-style policy that restricts such cooperation, and authorizes the State Attorney General to investigate violations, seek injunctive relief, and withhold specified state grant funds from noncompliant jurisdictions, while preserving exceptions required by court order, constitutional protections, and services mandated by law.
