The Affordable Energy and Permitting Reform Act

A bill to help curb inflation by reducing household electricity and fuel costs through expanded domestic energy production and faster approval of critical energy projects; to direct relevant federal agencies to streamline and accelerate permitting and environmental reviews for coal, natural gas, electric generation, transmission, pipeline, and grid reliability infrastructure, establish firm review deadlines, limit duplicative permitting requirements, prioritize projects that strengthen domestic supply and baseload reliability, and require regular public reporting to Congress on implementation, cost impacts, and energy market effects.
