Full text

This bill would strengthen federal anti-corruption safeguards by requiring covered federal contractors and senior executive-branch officials to disclose beneficial ownership, substantial financial interests, paid outside positions, and potential conflicts related to government business. The Office of Government Ethics, contracting agencies, and agency inspectors general would establish uniform disclosure standards, conduct risk-based reviews, and publish non-sensitive information in a searchable public database. The bill would require timely recusal or mitigation plans for identified conflicts, protect legitimate classified and personal information, and authorize suspension of contracting eligibility or other existing civil penalties for knowing violations.
