A bill to amend the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 to authorize competitive grants for states, local educational agencies, and nonprofit partners to expand high-quality after-school programs, evidence-based mentoring, tutoring, mental health supports, and career-readiness partnerships in underserved communities, with priority for programs serving low-income students and schools with persistent achievement gaps; to encourage partnerships with community colleges, workforce boards, and local employers for internships, skills training, and apprenticeship exposure; and to require annual reporting on student participation, attendance, academic progress, and postsecondary or workforce outcomes.
