MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE — The Memphis Delta Blues today announced the hiring of Troy Danner as the franchise’s head coach, alongside the appointment of Quinton Eversole as offensive coordinator.

Danner, 35, arrives in Memphis after a decade-long rise through the college coaching ranks, most recently serving as head coach at Charlottesville, where he compiled a 16–16–2 record.

Widely regarded as one of the brightest analytical minds in football, Danner has built his reputation on data-driven decision-making, game theory, and meticulous preparation.

“Troy represents exactly what we want the Delta Blues to be,” Delta Blues owner Madison Hillman said. “He sees the game differently, and more importantly, he knows how to translate that vision into results on the field.”

A Seattle native with a master’s degree in sports analytics, Danner began his coaching career as a special teams coordinator at Columbia University, where he quickly gained recognition for innovative schemes and measurable performance improvements.

Joining Danner is offensive coordinator Quinton Eversole, a rising play-caller known for his ability to elevate quarterback play and design streamlined, high-efficiency offenses.

“Quinton is one of the most creative offensive minds in the game right now,” Hillman said. “His ability to simplify the game while maintaining explosiveness is exactly what we need.”

Eversole, 37, began his career in Kentucky high school football before advancing to the collegiate level with the Kentucky Wildcats. He later served as co-offensive coordinator at Marshall, where he helped elevate the program’s offense from the bottom third nationally into the top 25 in efficiency.

Eversole is widely respected for his attention to detail and his ability to develop quarterbacks in a variety of systems, making him a key addition as the Delta Blues build their offensive identity.
