Delta Blues Hire Troy Danner as Head Coach, Quinton Eversole as Offensive Coordinator

The Memphis Delta Blues have appointed Troy Danner as head coach and Quinton Eversole as offensive coordinator, aiming to enhance their competitive edge.

The Memphis Delta Blues have announced the hiring of Troy Danner as the franchise's new head coach, alongside Quinton Eversole as offensive coordinator. This decision marks a significant shift in the team's leadership as they prepare for the upcoming season. Troy Danner, 35, comes to Memphis after a decade in college coaching, most recently serving as head coach at Charlottesville, where he recorded a 16–16–2 record. Danner is recognized for his analytical approach to football, emphasizing data-driven decision-making and meticulous game preparation. Delta Blues owner Madison Hillman expressed confidence in Danner's vision, stating, “Troy represents exactly what we want the Delta Blues to be. He sees the game differently, and more importantly, he knows how to translate that vision into results on the field.” A Seattle native, Danner holds a master’s degree in sports analytics. He began his coaching career as a special teams coordinator at Columbia University, where he gained recognition for his innovative schemes and measurable performance improvements. Joining Danner is Quinton Eversole, 37, who has built a reputation as a rising play-caller known for enhancing quarterback performance and designing efficient offenses. Hillman praised Eversole, saying, “Quinton is one of the most creative offensive minds in the game right now. His ability to simplify the game while maintaining explosiveness is exactly what we need.” Eversole's career began in Kentucky high school football before he advanced to the collegiate level with the Kentucky Wildcats. He later served as co-offensive coordinator at Marshall, where he played a crucial role in improving the program's offensive efficiency from the bottom third nationally to the top 25. Both Danner and Eversole are expected to play pivotal roles in shaping the Delta Blues' offensive identity as the team looks to enhance its competitive standing in the league. The appointments reflect a strategic move by the franchise to leverage analytical insights and innovative offensive strategies in pursuit of success on the field.
