They brought her home, but he couldn’t explain\
Why finding what was left didn’t give back her name

Now strangers see Emily over his heart\
Ask who she is, and tear him apart\
He said, “I’m tired of deciding in grocery-store lines\
How much of my daughter belongs to someone else’s time”
