Offices & Districts

Know the seats you can hold and how geography affects your run.

Available offices

  • Governor (statewide).
  • Senator (statewide; per state seat).
  • President/Vice President (national).

Eligibility

  • Home state rule: Governor and Senator filings require your home state to match the seat’s state.
  • You need an active character; no cash or filing fee is charged.
  • One filing per seat/cycle per character (duplicates are blocked).

Geography for campaigning

  • Counties: used for rallies and fundraisers; population and market multipliers matter.
  • Media markets: used for ads; cover multiple counties at once.
  • States: seats are statewide, so spread actions across the state to avoid overconcentrating.

Progression

  • Winning a seat gives an active term; you can campaign for future terms while serving.
  • Skills and cash carry over between runs; build them to climb to higher offices.
  • Party membership influences primaries; independents skip primaries.

Where to go next

Tips & Tricks

  • Map counties to media markets to plan ad coverage.
  • High-population counties amplify rallies and fundraisers.
  • Independents skip primaries; use that to your advantage.

FAQ

  • Can I change home state? Not mid-cycle; set during character creation.
  • Multiple filings? One filing per seat/cycle per character.
