Campaigning
Use rallies, fundraisers, ads, and polls to move voters and finance your run.
Rallies (20 Energy)
- Open the actions tray on /politics/elections and choose Rally.
- Select your filing, state/county, target voters (Conservative/Moderate/Liberal), and issue.
- Confirm to spend 20 Energy; approval shifts based on target fit and speech quality.
- Pick active issues with the highest relevance to your target group.
- Rotate counties to spread gains; repeating the same spot has diminishing reach.
Fundraisers (50 Energy)
- Open Fundraiser from the actions tray.
- Select state and county; preview expected haul (based on market, population, and your skills).
- Confirm to spend 50 Energy and collect cash.
- Higher population + strong market multipliers yield better results.
- Boost charisma/networking/leadership/financial acumen to raise more.
- Chain fundraisers before large ad buys to keep cash stocked.
Ads (5 Energy + budget)
- Open Ad in the actions tray.
- Choose filing, media market, target voters, issue, and script.
- Select budget: 100k, 500k, or 1M cash; spend 5 Energy to run.
- Larger budgets buy more reach in that media market.
- Match issue + target to avoid backlash; scripts are graded before commit.
- Use ads to reinforce strong counties after a rally bump.
Polls & surrogates
- Polls sample support in a region or segment; use them to decide your next target.
- Surrogate actions mirror rallies/ads but can scale coverage; costs vary by action.
- Keep spare Energy for surprise polls close to election day.
Cadence tips
- Alternate fundraising and outreach so you never stall for cash.
- Cover multiple counties within the same media market before running ads there.
- Bank Energy before late-cycle pushes; regen is +2/hour (100 max).
