Company Events
Host a community event to apply a temporary, locality-sensitive revenue effect to a company.

What a company event does
A Business character who controls a company can host a community event in a selected county. The event is scored for quality and local relevance, then applies a temporary multiplier to company revenue: a 24-hour peak followed by a 72-hour tail.
Audience Score is the content score
Audience Score is the AI evaluation of the submitted event, from -1% to 100%. Specific, realistic, locally relevant events with a clear community benefit score better than vague or disconnected promotion. It is one input to the effect, not the final effect percentage by itself.
Location matters
The locality multiplier is 1.20 at the company headquarters county, 1.15 with an asset in that county, 1.075 at headquarters state, 1.05 with an asset elsewhere in that state, and 0.90 otherwise. Larger recent revenue reduces the effect through a size taper, so the same event does not scale without limit.
Mechanics
How results are calculated
These rules come from the game calculation. Live market values and event-specific settings can still change the final result where noted.
Event impact
Rule
Peak effect % = Audience Score % × (Energy spent ÷ 10) × locality multiplier × size taper.
- You may spend 10–100 Energy. The energy factor is Energy ÷ 10.
- The peak is capped from -100% to +1,000% and lasts 24 hours.
- The 72-hour tail is 35% of the peak effect.
- The size taper is 1.0 at up to $2,500 average daily revenue, then sqrt($2,500 ÷ recent average daily revenue), never below 0.10.
