ASH Tampa Bay Small Business & Opportunity Day
Published
Andrews Strategic Holdings will host ASH Tampa Bay Small Business & Opportunity Day on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park in Tampa. This free public event will create direct opportunities for Hillsborough County entrepreneurs, families, students, and job seekers.
ASH will partner with the University of South Florida, CareerSource Tampa Bay, and the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce to connect residents with business resources, workforce opportunities, mentorship, and practical education.
The event’s Local Business Marketplace will provide complimentary vendor space to selected Hillsborough County small businesses, restaurants, makers, and startups, allowing them to sell directly to attendees without booth fees. Preference will be given to locally owned businesses with fewer than 50 employees.
At the ASH Entrepreneur Center, Tampa Growth Analytics and other ASH businesses will offer free 30-minute consultations on budgeting, business planning, analytics, cybersecurity, technology adoption, and growth strategy.
The Career & Skills Pavilion, supported by CareerSource Tampa Bay and participating Tampa-area employers, will feature on-site recruiting, internship opportunities, résumé assistance, and information about local training programs.
ASH will also host the Tampa Bay Founder Challenge. Florida-based companies may apply before the event. Five finalists will be selected based on business viability, growth potential, local economic impact, and execution strategy. Each finalist will pitch publicly to an ASH investment panel. The winning company will receive $100,000 in investment consideration, followed by a formal 30-day due-diligence review by Andrews Strategic Capital before funds are approved.
USF students and other local young adults will have access to entrepreneurship workshops, career networking, and mentorship sessions throughout the day.
The event will conclude with family activities, local food vendors, live entertainment, and a special Gulf Coast Wrestling Alliance exhibition.
Admission and all ASH workshops will be free.
As a Tampa-founded public company, Andrews Strategic Holdings is using its growth to create tangible opportunities for the entrepreneurs, workers, students, and families building the region alongside it.
Why It Landed This Way
A strong, credible local event with a specific Tampa venue, practical no-cost support, targeted small-business access, workforce programming, and family appeal. The named partners and due-diligence language make the investment challenge more believable. Its broad agenda may dilute execution unless logistics and participating employers are well coordinated, but it should earn solid local attention and goodwill.
What Players Should Expect
This event gives the business its strongest bump during the first 24 hours, followed by a smaller lingering boost for the next few days.
