HydraOne Detroit Digital Future Summit

HydraOne will host the HydraOne Detroit Digital Future Summit at Huntington Place, bringing together Detroit businesses, schools, nonprofits, technology leaders, and community organizations to strengthen the city's digital future through secure cloud technology and cybersecurity.

In partnership with Wayne State University, Detroit Public Library, the Detroit Regional Chamber, TechTown Detroit, and Detroit at Work, the summit will feature expert-led sessions on cloud security, ransomware preparedness, disaster recovery, AI-powered business tools, and digital transformation for organizations of every size.

During the event, HydraOne will announce a three-year commitment to provide free cloud backup and cybersecurity services to 100 Detroit nonprofit organizations and community programs, helping protect critical data while reducing technology costs.

Attendees can participate in live cyberattack simulations, disaster recovery demonstrations, startup innovation showcases, cloud migration workshops, and one-on-one technology consultations with HydraOne engineers and regional IT professionals.

A Detroit Startup Technology Challenge will award cloud infrastructure grants to local entrepreneurs developing solutions that improve education, healthcare, public safety, and neighborhood services. Finalists will present their projects before business leaders, investors, educators, and community organizations.

The summit will conclude with a Community Technology Partnership Expo featuring Detroit-based nonprofits, educational institutions, and local technology companies working together to expand digital access, strengthen cybersecurity awareness, and support long-term economic growth across Southeast Michigan.
