Grant Legacy Group opens its riverfront flagship and grounds for a free day of remembrance and community care—no appointment, purchase, or eligibility screening required at the door. Everyone is welcome.

The day begins with the Morning of Honor, an interfaith memorial on the riverfront lawn led by clergy from across the city, with a gospel choir performing beneath the oaks. Families across Jacksonville are invited to submit the names of loved ones they have lost; each name will be read aloud, and a bound Book of Remembrance will be displayed throughout the day for families to visit and sign.

On the grounds, the Legacy Village offers free, practical help: estate-planning and will-drafting guidance from Grant Legacy attorneys, who will sit down with anyone ready to get started and send them home with a clear next step; a “Protect Your Family” financial workshop; and free health screenings in partnership with a local clinic. A children’s area with free, supervised activities means no parent is turned away for lack of childcare, while a riverside garden with sweet tea and light food keeps families comfortable in the First Coast sun.

At midday, Lila announces the Grant Legacy Foundation, seeded with a six-figure commitment to help cover funeral costs for Jacksonville families who cannot afford a dignified goodbye, alongside a scholarship for local students pursuing law, business, or mortuary science.
