Stark Industries Hosts Dallas Veterans Career & Entrepreneurship Day

Stark Industries will partner with Dallas College, the Texas Veterans Commission, the Dallas Regional Chamber, and local veteran-service organizations to host a free Dallas Veterans Career & Entrepreneurship Day at Dallas College’s Bill J. Priest Center.

The event will connect veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses with North Texas employers, small-business resources, and practical career training.

Rather than a traditional job fair, participating employers will arrive with specific positions they are actively hiring for. Veterans can complete on-site interviews, receive one-on-one résumé coaching, and meet professionals working in technology, manufacturing, energy, finance, logistics, and skilled trades.

Veterans interested in starting or growing a business can attend workshops on financing, government contracting, business planning, and translating military leadership experience into entrepreneurship. Ten veteran-owned Dallas-area businesses will receive $5,000 growth grants, along with six months of mentoring from participating business leaders.

Dallas College will provide information on certifications and accelerated training programs that help veterans apply existing skills and military experience toward civilian credentials.

Admission, workshops, parking, and career services will be free. Military spouses are explicitly invited to participate in every career and entrepreneurship program offered during the day.

Stark Industries and its partners will publish a 90-day results report showing interviews completed, veterans hired, businesses funded, and participants enrolled in training programs. Grant recipients will return for a public showcase six months later to share how their businesses have grown.

The goal is not simply to host another veterans event, but to produce measurable results: jobs accepted, businesses strengthened, and military experience turned into new opportunities across North Texas.
