White Star Chemical will open its Savannah plant grounds for a family event introducing residents to the company and the work conducted on site.

The gathering will take place on company property. Visitors will park in a designated lot and use a marked shuttle or walking path to reach outdoor activity stations. Access will be limited to roped and signed areas. Guests will receive a brief safety orientation covering appropriate footwear, photography restrictions, and the requirement to remain on marked routes.

Activities will include hands-on science tables staffed by company chemists and engineers. Demonstrations will use simple materials to explain basic chemical principles and how industrial products relate to everyday goods. A separate station will describe plant safety systems, water and environmental controls, and emergency equipment. This will be an outdoor walk through selected areas only, not a full process tour.

A children's area will offer a hard-hat photo spot and simple crafts, separated from operating equipment. Sweet tea, water, lemonade, and light lunch items will be served under tents with seating. Company employees and their families are expected to help host.

White Star is presenting the day as a community introduction rather than a sales event. The company says the goal is to highlight local employment, safety practices, and its place in Savannah's industrial and port economy. Schools, neighborhood groups, civic leaders, employees' families, and invited customers are expected to attend. Attendance will be capped to keep the grounds manageable.

A small information sheet on local hiring and any education partnerships will be available. Organizers say the event will be postponed if weather or site conditions make it unsafe.
