This bill expands workforce-focused career and technical education in North Carolina public high schools by directing the Department of Public Instruction to strengthen partnerships with community colleges, local employers, and regional workforce boards. The program shall support dual-enrollment opportunities, industry-recognized credentials, supervised work-based learning, and updated equipment and instruction in high-demand fields, while preserving students’ access to core academic requirements and requiring annual reporting on participation, completion, and employment outcomes.
