The State of Florida shall require all state agencies, counties, municipalities, and law enforcement entities to use best efforts to cooperate with federal immigration authorities in the identification, detention, transfer, and lawful status verification of individuals as permitted by federal and state law; no local policy or directive may restrict such cooperation, and any jurisdiction found in material non-compliance shall be subject to the suspension of specified state grant funds and administrative review by the Attorney General, with exceptions preserved for victims, witnesses, and emergency services to protect public safety and ensure consistent statewide enforcement.
