Arizona Border Security Cooperation and Trafficking Interdiction Act

The State of Arizona shall require state agencies, county sheriffs, and municipal law enforcement departments, consistent with federal and state law, to increase operational cooperation in border-related immigration enforcement and the interdiction of human trafficking, fentanyl smuggling, and related transnational criminal activity; such cooperation may include information-sharing, joint task force participation, referral of removable noncitizens charged with serious crimes, and use of existing lawful federal partnership programs, with the Arizona Department of Public Safety directed to issue implementation standards, provide training, and submit regular public reports to the Governor and Legislature on enforcement activity, trafficking trends, costs, and public safety outcomes.
