The Rural Supply Chain and Small Business Inflation Relief Act

A bill to reduce inflation pressures in rural states by strengthening domestic supply capacity and easing transportation bottlenecks: to authorize targeted grants and low-interest loans for food processing, fertilizer, fuel storage, and distributed energy projects in rural areas; to direct the Department of Transportation and the Surface Transportation Board to expedite freight rail, short-line rail, and critical truck freight improvements that lower input and shipping costs; and to provide a temporary, targeted federal tax credit for small businesses in rural counties experiencing persistent spikes in energy, freight, or raw material costs, with eligibility tied to documented cost increases and safeguards to limit abuse and deficit impact.
