The Rural Input Cost Relief and Agricultural Supply Stability Act

To help curb inflation at its source, this bill would direct the Department of Agriculture and the Federal Trade Commission to improve transparency in fertilizer, seed, and on-farm fuel pricing, identify supply-chain bottlenecks driving unnecessary cost increases, and publish regular market reports for producers and rural small businesses. The bill would also establish targeted, temporary tax incentives and loan support for domestic fertilizer production, farm input manufacturing, storage, and transportation capacity, with priority for projects that strengthen supply reliability in rural states. These measures are intended to lower operating costs for farmers and small businesses, expand domestic agricultural output, and ease food and consumer price pressures without broad new spending mandates.
