Rural State Immigration Cost Reimbursement and Border Security Act

This bill would establish a Department of Homeland Security reimbursement program for Montana and other eligible rural states that incur documented costs related to migrant processing, temporary detention, emergency healthcare, transportation, and law enforcement following federal immigration transfers or releases. Reimbursements would be based on audited expenses and subject to federal reporting requirements, while the bill would increase resources for border personnel, biometric identity checks, expedited asylum screening, and the timely removal of individuals found ineligible for relief under federal law.
