Rural and Community Healthcare Access Expansion Act

A bill to improve access to healthcare in rural and underserved communities by establishing a targeted federal grant program for community health clinics, rural hospitals, and tribal health providers; expanding loan repayment and incentive programs for physicians, nurses, mental health professionals, and allied health workers who commit to practice in shortage areas; and funding broadband-enabled telehealth equipment, training, and cross-state care coordination where permitted by law, with priority given to states and counties facing persistent provider shortages, long travel distances to care, and poor health outcomes, including many communities in New Mexico.
