Federal Procurement Efficiency and Anti-Inflation Act

To help ease inflationary pressure without expanding executive authority, this bill directs all executive agencies to strengthen competitive bidding standards, consolidate duplicative logistics and supply contracts where practical, publish quarterly reports on procurement cost growth, and implement targeted waste-reduction plans for high-cost purchasing categories identified by the Government Accountability Office; it further freezes non-essential new administrative procurement overhead for one fiscal year and requires that documented savings be applied to deficit reduction, with national security and emergency response procurements exempted where necessary.
