Full text

This bill would establish a Federal Transit Administration grant program to help states and transit agencies modernize aging commuter rail systems, bridges, and port connections in New Jersey and other densely populated, working-class transportation corridors. Grants would prioritize projects that improve safety, reliability, accessibility, and freight movement, with preference for plans that maintain service during construction, use domestic materials where practicable, and create well-paying jobs under applicable labor standards.
