Community Preventive Care and Mental Health Access Act

This Act establishes a bipartisan federal grant program through the Department of Health and Human Services to support community health centers, rural clinics, schools, and nonprofit providers serving underserved communities. Grants may fund preventive screenings, vaccinations, primary-care navigation, counseling, crisis-referral services, and telehealth, with priority given to programs that reduce avoidable emergency-room use and barriers for working families. Recipients shall report on access, service use, and measurable cost savings, while maintaining patient privacy and existing standards of care.
