Border Security and State Enforcement Partnership Act

A bill to strengthen immigration enforcement by authorizing targeted grants to rural states for border-support operations, detention transport coordination, interoperable law-enforcement technology, and county jail reimbursement related to federal immigration holds; to increase criminal penalties for organized human trafficking and repeat smuggling offenses connected to unlawful entry or labor exploitation; and to condition certain Department of Homeland Security enforcement assistance on good-faith cooperation by state and local jurisdictions with federal immigration detainers, inmate status information-sharing, and joint interior enforcement operations, with exceptions required by federal law.
