Border Enforcement Coordination and Accountability Act

This bill would require the Department of Homeland Security to establish standardized procedures for coordinating immigration enforcement with state and local authorities, while preserving federal oversight and constitutional protections. It would set clear requirements for detention decisions, access to legal information, medical screening, transfer documentation, and timely case review; require regular reporting to Congress on detention capacity, removals, and complaints; and authorize grants for participating jurisdictions that complete approved coordination and accountability programs.
