American Jobs and Apprenticeship Act

This Act would establish a competitive federal grant program, administered by the Secretary of Labor in coordination with relevant federal agencies, to support state, local, labor, and private-sector partnerships creating registered apprenticeships and good-paying jobs in clean energy, infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing. Grants would prioritize projects that provide employer-sponsored training, recognized industry credentials, prevailing wages, safe working conditions, and pathways to permanent employment, with preference for applicants that hire workers from the communities receiving funding, including veterans, displaced workers, and individuals from underserved areas.
