To reduce inflationary pressure on working families, this bill directs the Department of Commerce to establish targeted tax incentives and competitive grants for domestic production of essential consumer goods and key industrial inputs, including household necessities, packaging materials, machine parts, fertilizer, and basic building products; temporarily expands accelerated depreciation for new U.S.-based manufacturing equipment and warehouse capacity; instructs the Department of Energy and relevant federal agencies to streamline permitting for qualifying industrial facilities consistent with existing environmental law; and requires quarterly public reporting on whether these measures are lowering input costs, improving supply reliability, and reducing consumer prices.
