American Energy Cost Relief Act

To reduce inflationary pressure on households and industry, this bill would expand and extend targeted federal tax incentives for domestic coal and natural gas production, accelerate permitting for qualifying extraction, processing, and power generation projects, and authorize temporary grants for grid and rail infrastructure that lower fuel delivery costs to power plants and manufacturers; in return, eligible producers must maintain domestic supply commitments and certify that savings are passed through where practicable to utilities, industrial customers, and consumers through lower energy and fuel costs.
