The DFL has officially released the schedule for Season 6, ushering in a new chapter for the league following another offseason of expansion and franchise relocations.

Season 6 features 12 teams competing in the newly established Commonwealth and National Conferences. Each team will play a 14-game regular season with seven home games and seven road games. Conference opponents will meet twice, while teams will face four opponents from the opposite conference.

The league has also adopted a new broadcast format designed to create a more exciting experience for players and fans. Rather than spreading games across the entire week, all DFL action will now take place on Thursdays and Sundays. Each game day will feature six games played sequentially every two hours beginning at 10:00 a.m. Eastern, allowing every matchup its own dedicated broadcast window.

Defending champion Richmond Capitols will open the season at home against the expansion Denver Summit on Thursday, July 23. Other opening week matchups include Atlanta at Charleston, Dallas at Charlotte, Delta at Miami, Louisville at Tampa Bay, and San Antonio at Washington.

The regular season concludes on Sunday, September 6, with the league's first official Rivalry Week. The final slate features Washington at Richmond, Miami at Tampa Bay, Charleston at Charlotte, Dallas at Denver, Louisville at Delta, and San Antonio at Atlanta, with playoff positioning expected to be on the line across the league.

Following the regular season, the Commonwealth Conference champion, National Conference champion, and two wildcard teams will advance to the DFL Playoffs to compete for the Season 6 championship.

With new cities, new rivalries, and a faster-paced schedule built around two weekly football event days, Season 6 is set to be the most ambitious and competitive season in DFL history.
