Rock and metal musician Darius Novak released three new songs today. These songs represent the culmination of several weeks of work after a time of rest following his last round of tours. These new songs are titled after traditional stages of demonic possession/interaction with humans, and they all work together to tell the story of a young man who grew a little too curious and greedy with the occult.

“I came across these ideas of how demonic possession works, and I thought it would make a great story. I wanted to write something like that,” Novak said about the songs. “They’re a warning as much as a story too. Be careful what you wish for.”

Novak, who isn’t religious, does consider the existence of demons and spiritual forces a real possibility. “Whether or not they are real,” he says, “they make for compelling storytelling material. Perfect for a rock or metal format. I don’t think you need to seriously believe in that stuff to enjoy the songs.”

Novak is aiming for these songs to headline his biggest tour yet. “I wanted them to all work together, in one story, almost like one great big song. It’s the biggest tour yet, so it felt right to go that direction.” Novak spent over $10 million on the production and advertisement of each song. “I’m really committed to making this the best tour experience yet for everyone, me and the fans.”

Darius Novak will immediately begin touring across the nation with “Obsession”, “Oppression”, and “Possession” as his main songs at gigs. He is looking forward immensely to interacting with fans new and old. “It’ll be a lot of fun, I guarantee that.”
