A few days ago, we noticed Madison Hillman because 23,116 people showed up across three performances.
Apparently she wasn't finished.
Hillman has now played another three-city run through the Southeast: 10,666 fans in Tallahassee, 9,904 in Mobile and 4,356 in Montgomery.
That's another 24,926 people.
More interestingly, it gives us something the first set of numbers couldn't: repetition.
One strong night can be an outlier. Three strong crowds get your attention. Six performances across multiple markets start giving us evidence of something more durable.
The latest run wasn't uniform. Tallahassee and Mobile both approached or exceeded 10,000 fans, while Montgomery drew 4,356. That's useful information too. A growing audience doesn't mean identical demand everywhere.
Add the two runs together, however, and Hillman has now drawn 48,042 fans across the six performances we've been tracking.
We're still not declaring her the biggest act in the country. We don't have enough information about ticket revenue, venue capacity, expenses or how her numbers compare with other touring artists over the same period.
But we said we'd pay attention to whether the first run could be repeated.
It was.
One three-city run makes us curious. Six cities and 48,042 fans make us start keeping the receipts. That's where the fine print gets interesting.
