The Dominion Football League has selected St. Louis as the host city for its Season 6 championship, scheduling the neutral-site game for Sunday, Sept. 13, at The Dome at America’s Center.

According to a release from the DFL Commissioner’s Office, kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET. The game will be the league’s first championship played in St. Louis.

The championship is intended to conclude what the league described as its largest season so far. Season 6 expanded the DFL to 12 teams and introduced a 14-game regular-season schedule divided between the Commonwealth and National Conferences.

“The Dome gives us a championship-caliber venue in a neutral market,” the commissioner said in the release, calling St. Louis “an outstanding football city” and saying the league was eager to bring its title game there.

The Dome at America’s Center is expected to make its full football capacity available, or approximately 67,000 seats, according to the announcement. The league said the venue will provide an opportunity for fans from around the country to attend its season-ending game.

The participating teams have not yet been determined. The DFL said the championship matchup will feature the winners of its postseason, with the regular season scheduled to end Sept. 6 before the playoff round determines the two finalists.

The announcement did not provide details on ticket sales, broadcast arrangements, championship-week events, or the format and dates of the postseason round.

The choice of a neutral venue places the title game outside the home market of either eventual finalist. The DFL characterized the St. Louis event as a major stage for its players, owners and fans as the league completes its expanded season.

“This season represents another major step forward for the DFL,” the commissioner said. “There is no better way to finish it than by bringing our championship to a major neutral stage and giving our players, owners and fans an event worthy of the season.”
