Lyrics

January 20, 2026

You left your phone face down on the bed
Said you were tired, said go ahead
I wasn’t trying to cross a line
Just needed proof I was losing my mind

My hands were shaking, screen lit up
Names I don’t know, hearts and stuff
I told myself to stop right there
But I already knew what I’d find

I shouldn’t have looked, but I did
Now I can’t forget what I read
Pictures you never sent me
Words you never meant for me
I shouldn’t have looked, now it’s stuck
Every lie lining up
I didn’t wanna know the truth
But I shouldn’t have looked at you

You said his name like it was nothing
Like I was crazy for assuming
Same emojis you used on me
Guess I wasn’t as special as you said I’d be

Every message felt like a dare
Like you wanted me standing there
Holding something I couldn’t unsee
Guess you were already leaving me

I shouldn’t have looked, but I did
Now I hear your voice in my head
Saying I’m paranoid
Guess I was right, guess I wasn’t wrong
I shouldn’t have looked, now I’m numb
Watching everything come undone
I didn’t wanna know the truth
But I shouldn’t have looked at you

You could’ve just told me straight
Could’ve saved me all this weight
Now every time I close my eyes
I see you on the other side

I wish I never touched that screen
Wish I didn’t know what you mean

I shouldn’t have looked, but I did
Now I don’t know who you’ve been
You said I was everything
Guess everything didn’t mean much
I shouldn’t have looked, but it’s done
You can’t erase what you’ve done
I didn’t wanna lose you like this
But I shouldn’t have looked

I shouldn’t have looked
But I’m glad I did
