VERSE 1

This whole déjà vu’s making me dizzy

Saw you in the halls like you never missed me

Twenty-seven things I rehearsed just trying not to slip and say

“I knew you.”

You had that cold amnesia

Played it off like I was ether

Funny how you’re such a dreamer

Till remembering me got… inconvenient.

PRE-CHORUS (Revised)

You hosted parties in my mind, uninvited every time

Thought you’d stay but you erased me—guess that’s your new design

Why is your memory so selectiveeee? (yeah… so selective)

Funny how you act like you never once connected me

CHORUS

Now I’m stuck with echoes of your voice

And every time you cared, it feels like it was just a decoy

What a curse it is to still feel pulled to you

When you made forgetting look so easy.

I wait like an idiot for signs you’ll see me

Think I hear your name, it hits me like a movie

You fade out of the frame

And I’m the one hallucinating.

VERSE 2

We rebuilt a bridge, then you burned it cleaner

Said you liked the new me, then acted meaner

Blocked me like a chore you’d been dying to sweep under the floor

So graceful.

You keep performing versions of yourself

And I fall for every tell, it’s embarrassing as hell

You vanish when it feels too real

Like closeness makes you claustrophobic.

PRE CHORUS

You hosted parties in my mind, uninvited every time

Act like we were strangers—like I never crossed your line

Why is your memory so selectiiiiiveeeee? (so—so selective, mhm)

Wild how you forget me the second you’re done with me

BRIDGE (new + emotional but sharp)

You pick what you remember

And erase what doesn’t serve

But I kept every version

Even the ones that hurt

Maybe you’re just allergic

To anyone who stays

But damn, I still replay

The first time you knew my name.

FINAL CHORUS

Now I’m stuck with echoes of your voice

And every time you cared, it feels like it was just a decoy

What a curse it is to still feel pulled to you

When you made forgetting look so easy.

I wait like an idiot for signs you’ll see me

Dream you’ll walk toward me but you’re always leaving

You fade out of the frame

And I’m the one hallucinating.
