Lyrics

July 28, 2026

(Intro)\
The presence is stronger now.\
It presses on my chest when I lie down.\
Sleep brings no rest.\
Only more weight.

(Verse 1)\
I wake with the feeling that something is already in the room.\
The air is thick. It is hard to draw a full breath.\
I check the corners out of habit, but I already know what is there.\
It does not leave when I look away.\
During the day the pressure follows me.\
My thoughts slow down. My hands feel heavy.\
I try to focus on anything else, but the weight pulls everything back.\
It is always there, just behind my eyes.

(Chorus)\
It presses down harder every night.\
The light in the room grows faint.\
I feel it in my bones and in my lungs.\
There is no escape from the weight.\
It presses down harder every night.\
Hope slips further out of reach.\
I feel it in my chest and in my spine.\
The weight is here to stay.

(Verse 2)\
I try to pray but the words stop in my throat.\
They feel small and useless against what is already here.\
I speak them anyway, out of old habit.\
Nothing answers back except the pressure.\
The nights are longer now.\
The dreams do not end when I open my eyes.\
I see movement where there should be none.\
I hear breathing that is not mine.

(Bridge)\
I tell myself to push back.\
I tell myself this is still my space.\
But every time I try, the weight settles deeper.\
It knows I am tired.\
It knows I am running out of reasons to fight.

(Descent)\
I stop checking the locks at night.\
What is the point?\
It is already inside the room.\
It is already inside the air I breathe.\
I stop turning on extra lights.\
The dark feels more honest now.\
I stop telling myself that morning will change anything.\
Morning only brings the same weight in a different hour.\
I feel it settle into my muscles.\
I feel it behind my thoughts.\
It does not need to force its way in anymore.\
I am too tired to keep the door closed.

(Final Section / Embrace)\
I stop pushing back.\
The resistance only makes it press harder.\
I let the weight stay.\
I let it sit where it wants.\
This is what I asked for when I opened the way.\
This is what came through.\
I stop pretending I can send it back.\
I stop pretending I still want to.\
The pressure feels almost familiar now.\
Like an old coat I cannot take off.\
I stop fighting the dark.\
I let it have the room.\
It presses down.\
I do not push up.\
This is mine now.\
This is what I am.

(Outro)

This is what I am.

This is where. I. Die.
