Lyrics

December 12, 2025

(Verse 1)
You say I’m strong,
but you don’t see the nights I crumble.
You only hear the echo,
never the part where I stumble.
I give you all my pieces,
you take the ones that shine—
leave the cracked ones on the table,
like they were never mine.

(Pre-Chorus)
And I keep waiting for a reason
for why you only love in seasons…

(Chorus)
I’m not hard to love,
I’m just hard to hold
when the truth gets heavy
and the world feels cold.
I needed someone steady,
you needed someone bold—
but you can’t build forever
on a half-told soul.
I’m not hard to love,
I’m just hard to hold.

(Verse 2)
I’ve rewritten every moment,
trying to fix what never broke.
You build a fire, walk away,
leave me standing in the smoke.
I tried to meet you in the middle,
but your middle kept on moving—
you keep calling it confusion,
but I call it choosing.

(Pre-Chorus)
And I can’t keep losing pieces
to the weight of your indecision…

(Chorus)
I’m not hard to love,
I’m just hard to hold
when the truth gets heavy
and the world feels cold.
I needed someone steady,
you needed someone bold—
but you can’t build forever
on a half-told soul.
I’m not hard to love,
I’m just hard to hold.

(Bridge)
Maybe one day you’ll understand
all the things I never said—
how I carried every promise
until my own knees bent.
Love isn’t made of thunder,
it’s quiet, soft control—
but you never reached for steady,
you only reached for gold.

(Final Chorus)
I’m not hard to love,
I’m just hard to hold—
but I won’t shrink my fire
just to fit your mold.
If you ever learn to listen,
you’ll hear the story I told:
I was always love—
you were just scared to hold.
