Lyrics

April 2, 2026

(Verse 1)
Thirty minutes past the city lights, where the county road turns mean
Gravel cracks beneath your tires on a path few have ever seen
Deep in the grove where the old trees lean, a wooden house sags low
Windows dark as a dead man’s eyes, moss on the roof like funeral snow

(Pre-Chorus)
They say if you need what the light won’t give
If your hunger runs harder than any man should live
There’s a man who can call what the preachers forbid
And the things that he summons… they’ll do what he says

(Chorus)
Julius Throckmorton, lord of the hidden art
Knows every name from the pit to the farthest star
Baphomet, Asmodeus, and Ba’al
And the ones with no name
He’ll open the veil if you’re willing to pay what he claims
And the price always comes, though it wears a different face
And he’s called, there’s no erasing his trace

(Verse 2)
He lives on nothing but shadows and dust, or so the rumors claim
No job, no lights, no visible means, yet he ever looks the same
Some say he’s older than sin itself, others swear he never dies
But when your back’s to the wall and your ambition starts to cry
You’ll find the gravel road, you’ll turn the headlights low
And knock on the door where the bad winds blow

(Pre-Chorus)
He doesn’t ask questions, he doesn’t need your why
Just a drop of intent and a willing sacrifice
He’ll speak the old words, draw the evil signs
And the thing you thought wanted steps out of the night

(Chorus)
Julius Throckmorton, dealer in forbidden things
Lust, greed, power, revenge on silver coins
He’ll give you the dream, he’ll hand you the key
But the bill always comes, and the price isn’t free
It might take your sleep, or the ones that you love
It might ride home with you, wearing your blood like an evil glove

(Bridge)
No one talks about the ones who went
Some lost their minds, some lost their kin
Some can’t get to sleep in the dark of the night
But they all say the same with their faces grim

(Final Chorus)
Old Julius Throckmorton, still waiting in the trees
Still trading in wishes that bring you to your knees
The foolish keep coming when the world seems too cruel
They knock on his door… and become another fool
So drive past the gravel, keep your eyes on the line
Some doors should stay closed
Some prices too high
Old Julius Throckmorton
Still smiling inside

(Outro)
…Why don’t you come inside?
