Lyrics

April 26, 2026

[Verse]
They all looked me in the eye and said don't throw it away
You got a good job, steady comfort, and good pay
Your family is worried, all your friends think you're lost
They all ran the numbers, told me it ain't worth the cost
I heard every word, I sat with every doubt
Stared at the ceiling wondering what my life's all about
Cause I could clock in forever, play it cozy and sound
But when I looked in my soul, it's only music that I found
The only real thing that ever made me feel alive
Was a beat and a bar and the hunger to survive
Not the salary, not the title, not the benefits plan
Just a notebook, a dream, a disillusioned and broken man
[Hook]
They said stay comfy, bear it, and don't you dream
The music inside of me, tearing me up, like a broken seam
You called it reckless, I call it the only way
I'd rather crash chasing fire than just fuckin' fade away
Fade away - safe and sound
The Architect don't build his life on someone else's ground
[Verse]
Every family dinner turned into a debate
Stay inside the lines, boy, before it's way too late
I smiled and nodded, kept the fire inside
Cause you can't explain a calling to someone who never tried
They meant well, I know that, love was in the room
But comfortable was killing me, living in my own tomb
So I packed up the certainty, left the safe behind
Traded in the nine-to-five for a never-ending grind
The doubt didn't break me - it just became a duel
Every warning, every worry, just adding more fuel
Poured it into the booth, let it bleed through every line
Cause the ones who said I'd fail are gonna watch me shine
[Bridge]
I don't hold grudges, now, I just hold receipts
Every I-told-you-so just puts more fire in my feet
This ain't revenge, it's a thank you note
I'm The Architect, I'm crafting beats - I'm the goat
You made me sink or swim and I decided to stroke
I jumped right off the deep end, I only go for broke
And the water's cold but the view up here is clear
The Architect stands on business, man - fuck the fear
